The Virginia Commonwealth University Global Education Office promotes a variety of faculty and student activities in a global context. GEO’s mission is to advance the internationalization of the University in cooperation with the VCU academic programs, as well as with other administrative offices. GEO currently offers programs and services in faculty exchanges, university overseas linkages and agreements of cooperation, education abroad and student exchanges, international student and scholar advising, and international student recruitment and admissions. Additionally GEO offers an intensive English Language Program.
The executive director advises faculty, departments, schools and the college in their efforts to expand their international activities and linkages. The executive director also serves as the initial contact for off-campus groups and agencies requesting information on international activities at the university as well in drafting agreements with oversees institutions, in consultation with the appropriate VCU constituencies.
