All stage management students are required to work on Theatre VCU productions. This provides the opportunity to put into practice those skills learned in classes. Those assignments will be determined by the faculty supervisor. Students will be asked to serve as assistant stage manager or production stage manager under a faculty or guest director during Theatre VCU’s season.

Students, in consultation with their adviser, may elect to have one semester of their senior year as a professional internship at an approved theatre.

+A minimum of 45 upper-level credits are needed to graduate.

Note: All stage management students are required to have and maintain current CPR/first aid certification through the Red Cross or other certifying organization. Such certifications typically are current for only one year for CPR to three years for first aid.
