Graduate Planning Studio Presentations
Spring Semester 2009
Studio design promotes scholarship & service in action
Since the inception of the MURP program nearly 40 years ago, community service has been a vital component of student coursework. Our students benefit from a curriculum that is inextricably linked to the provision of direct service through the enhancement of local communities. Each year, Wilder students produce an average of 24 plans of professional quality that community clients can, and often do implement. Student clients include local governments, non-profit organization, and others. To date, Studio I and II courses have produced at least 450 plans for communities throughout Virginia, the Eastern Seabord , and even abroad.
All presentations are at the Kearney House, 921 W. Franklin , unless noted.
