Fusion Center Briefing to Federal Government Leaders at George Washington University

Staff of the National Homeland Security Project attended the All Hazards Consortium Briefing to Senior Federal Government Leadership on Fusion Centers at The George Washington University in Washington , D.C. , on December 10, 2007. The briefing addressed the highlights of a white paper produced from the Regional Fusion Center Collaboration Workshop held in New Jersey in February 2007. The primary focus was on regional state requirements for information sharing and possible collaboration efforts for fusion centers within the states of Delaware , Maryland , New Jersey , New York , North Carolina , Pennsylvania , Virginia , and West Virginia , and the District of Columbia . Mr. Austen Givens, Research Assistant, attended the briefing to gain insights for a research paper he is preparing on state-level intelligence fusion centers to be presented at Syracuse University in the spring of 2008. Dr. Dale Jones, Director, attended to learn more about outcomes of activities performed by the All Hazards Consortium. Ms. Adale Martin, who recently relocated to Virginia from her position as Assistant Manager in the National Center for Biomedical Research and Training at Louisiana State University accompanied Mr. Givens and Dr. Jones as a special guest.
