EPID 560 Fundamentals of Data Management and Analysis

Semester course; 3 lecture hours. 3 credits. Designed for students/professionals in public health as well as nurses, pharmacists and physicians who are interested in conducting population-based public health research. Will focus on principles and application issues related to data collection, sampling strategies, data management and data analysis based on various public health study designs. Will introduce students to Excel, Access and PC SAS. Using existing datasets, students will learn how to manipulate the dataset, conduct analysis, and interpret and present the results.
