Current Issues in Violent Crime - SL

The Current Issues in Violent Crime course is designed to explore the nature, theory, history and psychology of violence in America. A variety of topics including school, work place and community violence as well as serial and mass murder will be discussed. Interpersonal, group, organized and religious violence will also be explored. Structural causes of violence such a race, gender, social class and age will be examined while highlighting the causes and consequences of violence in the context of current theory and practice.
