Service Experiences and Alcohol Preference

The project is an ongoing NIH-funded R01 that aims to increase our understanding of the relationship between combat exposure and stress-related drinking among returning OIF/OEF veterans. Additionally, the project aims to understand individual differences in trauma-relevant fear conditioning. The project is a 3-session study that includes clinical assessment, questionnaire completion, and two laboratory sessions.

Skills/Interests: Students who are interested in anxiety and/or substance use will be the best fit for this project. We also hope to find students who have high professionalism and the ability to interact with participants.

Student eligibility requirements: Psychology or a related area is preferred
